"UNCOMMON SENSE"--Once More with Feeling
I've posted this article before, but in view of the current geopolitical circumstances, it feels more relevant than ever. In this version, I've added responses from essays written by sophomores from English classes at Fremont High School to whom we presented the vision. As I continue to immerse myself in commentaries, literature, and a wide range of perspectives, I am still struck by the lack of what John Naisbitt called a "Strategic Vision." So, I've spent the last 30-40 years working on that strategic vision--I believe what you will read here can provide some of the roots from which we can grow a more viable, user friendly culture. I believe that we cannot "figure out" solutions or create "policies" to implement them. The solutions must be grown. We have to think in terms of, at the very least, decades.
