I tried everything to get rid of it--all kinds of salves, various gloves, cotton gloves within rubber gloves. What, if any, of the issues that are so threatening be diminished or turned around? To what degree do we put time and effort into resisting this breakdown or would our efforts be better served if we grow communities that are best able to survive the breakdown? What skills and knowledge would be most vital for these communities to have? What is the nature of the interface between our spiritual reality – our connection with the whole of reality – and the external circumstances of our lives? Are there particular places in our culture, trigger points, where we can maximize the effectiveness of any efforts we might make to both ward off much of the suffering and tribulation and to build the foundation for a new and better society?...

          There it is--the answer to the main problem we now face which underlies all the symptoms (climate change, dominance by oligarchies, war, inequality, racism--you name it.)      While love exists as BEING as and through each of us, it can only emerge as creative power when we join, especially when we synergize.  In other words, we need to cultivate the  morality of interpersonal relationships  (as fast as we can.) Think about who some of Trump's main supporters were--white middle class and lower middle class men who live in the Red States.  Imagine you are one of these men and you’re not able to work enough to provide for your family. It’s humiliating. Your self-respect inevitably will take a nosedive. Add to that your disappointment in your government and how betrayed you feel. That’s gonna make you really angry. If you combine that with low self-respect, you end up picking a Donald-Trump-type. (more on how that works later). While many Trump supporters have said that they weren’t so much voting for Trump as they were voting against Hillary Clinton – Trump being the lesser of two evils--they could have chosen one of the other dozen Republican candidates, but they didn't.     I've posted this article before, but in view of the current geopolitical circumstances, it feels more relevant than ever. In this version, I've added responses from essays written by sophomores from English classes at Fremont High School to whom we presented the vision.     As I continue to immerse myself in commentaries, literature, and a wide range of perspectives, I am still struck by the lack of  what John Naisbitt called a "Strategic Vision."      So, I've spent the last 30-40 years working on that strategic vision--I believe what you will read here can provide some of the roots from which we can grow a more viable, user friendly culture.      I believe that we cannot "figure out" solutions or create "policies" to implement them.
