Beliefs and Assumptions to Question

Most of us operate on certain beliefs and assumptions, probably most of the time, that usually go unquestioned. These beliefs and assumptions may have even worked for us at certain stages of our lives. Either way, it behooves us to question the assumptions upon which we depend and operate.
This becomes especially critical when we bump up against frustrating issues whose solution continue to evade us. We may unknowingly be orienting ourselves to life from a point of view that is erroneous.
Here's what The Urantia Book has to say about that:
115:1.1 Partial, incomplete, and evolving intellects would be helpless in the master universe, would be unable to form the first rational thought pattern, were it not for the innate ability of all mind, high or low, to form a universe frame in which to think. If mind cannot fathom conclusions, if it cannot penetrate to true origins, then will such mind unfailingly postulate conclusions and invent origins that it may have a means of logical thought within the frame of these mind-created postulates. And while such universe frames for creature thought are indispensable to rational intellectual operations, they are, without exception, erroneous to a greater or lesser degree.  (Emphasis mine)
Certain beliefs that you have to at least question…if not abandon, in order to really address and solve many of the problems that face us:
"It's about the money."
"I have to solve this problem…myself."
"There is much to fear."
"I lack the wherewithal to solve it."
"I need to get "this" in order to have "that."
"No matter what I do, it's never enough."
"I am somehow disconnected from the rest of the universe, especially the part of the universe that has what I lack and want."
"I'm a piece of shit…"
"Something or someone out there has to change in order for me to be all right."
"Those people (fill in the blank) are the enemy and I must resist them."
So, if you're feeling stuck or are experiencing stress or any kind of resistance to life, or you just want to upgrade your perspective on life, pause and discover what assumptions your current patterns of behavior are based on...and ask those assumptions.....
